About Us
Helping heal those who serve
The use of Oak Heart Lodge has been donated to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing for the use to help our disabled veteran service members connect and heal.
Our rustic log lodge is located on the Muskegon River in Newaygo, MI, on a secluded 11-acre property, including 400 feet of riverfrontage. We are an alcohol and drug-free lodge.

Our Mission
Our mission at Oak Heart Lodge is to provide a place of healing, comfort, and camaraderie for disabled veterans and to thank them for their sacrifice. Oak Heart's meaning derives from "The Heart of an Oak" definition: A loyal and courageous soldier, brave and valorous. Whether it’s fly fishing, tying flies, or quiet reflection while watching the river go by, we aim to ensure our veterans know they are not forgotten.
